Vivid Living Karaka brings a sense of intimacy and calm to a modern retirement setting, blending elegant design with functional comfort. While the interior design was led by external partners, Acorn Furniture’s contribution focused on key pieces that anchor the communal spaces — including solid timber dining tables, a mobile feature table on castors, and a refined selection of chairs in neutral cream and warm caramel tones. Paired with a rich dark wood finish, these pieces help shape a series of inviting environments — from the dining area to the fireplace lounge and smaller conversation pods — where residents can gather, relax, and connect.
Defined Spaces Without Hard Edges
The layout at Karaka moves effortlessly from dining to lounge to smaller sitting areas — and furniture placement plays a key role in that flow. Chairs arranged in soft clusters give the sense of defined zones without rigid borders.
