Tamahere Country Club Care Centre extends the Tamahere Country Club Retirement Village with a premium care environment. Designed with dignity, comfort and refinement at its heart, the facility sets a new benchmark for aged care in the Waikato.
A spectacular lobby welcomes residents and visitors with high ceilings, acoustic artwork and inviting lounges furnished with custom sofas, side tables and lounge chairs, setting the tone for the spaces beyond.
A Partnership Approach
Working in partnership with the interior designer and Helen Martelli, Director of Clinical and Operations for Sanderson Group, Acorn Furniture delivered tailored furniture solutions that aligned with the facility’s understated, classy and comfortable aesthetic. Our in-house product design team developed bespoke pieces specifically for Tamahere Country Club Care Centre, ensuring every detail reflected both operational needs and the resident experience.

Bespoke Pieces
Tamahere Care Centre features an extensive collection of custom-designed bespoke furniture, each piece created to balance dignity, function and refinement.
Among the highlights are the Custom Sideboards, designed with routed patterns that are both therapeutic and tactile, adding a sensory dimension to the interiors.
The entrance lobby and dementia lounge are anchored with deep buttoned Custom Stretton Sofas, produced in multiple configurations to suit the varied needs of each space. These statement pieces combine comfort with versatility, providing welcoming, supportive seating for residents and visitors alike.
Heritage Inspired Character
Custom turned timber furniture brings warmth and a heritage-inspired elegance to the centre.
Large feature tables in the private dining and dementia lounges create inviting focal points, while coffee and dining tables continue the same craftsmanship. Each table is fitted with Laminatek inserts, providing a durable, easy-to-clean surface that combines practicality with refined design.
Pedestal side tables with marble tops elevate the lounges with subtle sophistication, adding both style and function to the seating areas.
White Glove Delivery Service
At Acorn Furniture, our in-house freight and delivery team oversaw every aspect of installation, carefully placing each bespoke piece to achieve a seamless finish. They delivered with care, unwrapped protective coverings, assembled pieces on site, and arranged each space according to the floor plans, leaving it ready for immediate use.
