In partnership with JTB Architects, Acorn supported the refurbishment of a previously dated and underutilised community area. The existing furniture and materials were no longer fit for purpose, limiting how residents could use and enjoy the space.
Working closely with the village manager and design team, Acorn provided furniture layouts, product guidance and sample items for resident review. The goal was to create an inviting, comfortable environment that adapts to day-to-day activities while maintaining a modern aesthetic that connects seamlessly with the surrounding landscape.
Elevated Outdoor Living That Brings Residents Together
The outdoor deck at Arvida Oakwoods encourages residents to gather and relax all year round. BBQ spaces sit beneath an overhead pergola complemented by our Biscay dining furniture with durable weather resistant resin and our sister brand, Woodwrights Heirloom Lounge Chars in warm timber tones. The combination of dining and lounge seating creates a refined, inviting outdoor environment that seamlessley connects to the interior.
Inviting Spaces Shaped for Everyday Living
Within the lounge areas, timber lounge pieces are arranged in pods around anchor points such as fireplaces, televisions or planter boxes, creating structure while keeping the space open. Different seating arrangements provide options for quiet moments or social interaction, with cosy corners forming intimate pockets throughout the lounge. The result is a functional, comfortable and welcoming environment for residents.
Flexible Dining That Adapts to Every Occasion
In the dining area, light timber tables and chairs are arranged to allow easy movement and adaptation for different activities. The Carlo Chairs, Leo Bar Stools and Brooklyn Square Tables feature soft, rounded forms that create a sense of cohesion throughout the space. The layout, as guided by Acorn, supports a variety of uses while remaining practical and inviting, encouraging interaction and connection within the dining area.
Delivered and Installed With Care
Our trusted in-house freight and delivery team managed full delivery and installation including placement, assembly and packaging removal. Every piece was installed with care to ensure the spaces were ready to use.
