Ryno furniture inside in a mental health unit

With a strong focus on recovery the Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit at Farnham Road Hospital needed to be colourful, stimulating and non-institutional. Ryno was the obvious choice for the communal dining area where the safety of staff and patients was paramount.

Their one-piece construction and 50kg weighted design means the Ryno dining chairs are hard to lift, reducing the risk of them being weaponised. The dining tables are similarly safe, with a cruciform design which helps minimalise conflict between patients and prevents the passing of contraband.

Hafan y Coed - The adult mental health unit in Llandough Hospital in Wales - aims to provide a 'calming, warming and welcoming' environment for patients.

Creating a bright and positive setting while maintaining safety for patients and staff was of high importance, so Ryno products in lime and graphite were used both inside and outside, providing a safe and secure setting while also adding a splash of colour.
